At Andrea Hotel, you can expect the following:
Our rooms are relatively small, depending on the room type, but they are clean.
- Quiet location:
We are located in a small alley where it is forbidden to drive, this is not the case in most alleys in Yogyakarta. We are also far enough from the nearest mosque, which is further south down the alley, so that the muezzin shouldn’t wake you unless you are particularly sensitive, in which case you should do serious research before booking a hotel in Java.
During the day, in the rooms closest to the reception you may hear the hotel employees but at night the hotel is quiet.
- Good service:
Friendly staff (as in most guesthouses actually) awaits you, and is ready to help for any matter. The receptionists speak well English, and the Swiss owner who is often on site speaks several other languages.
Our staff is trained to supply you with all the information you need. If you need to know anything particular, aside from the usual tourist stuff, then it might be worth talking to the owner. You may get valuable information that can save you time and money, and more importantly, reliable information. That does not mean that we know everything, but misunderstandings, often caused by cultural differences, are less frequent.
- Andrea is one of the few places, or the only one, with a nice little terrace to the alley where you can chat and meet other guests and local people.
